Mr. Vigorito is a sex therapist, author, trainer, and supervisor. As a psychotherapist, he provides individual, couples and group psychotherapy for a broad range of sexual and behavioral health concerns: relationship and sexual dissatisfaction, consensual sexual problems, sexual disorders, erotic and identity conflicts, and sex-related drug use.
In collaboration with Douglas Braun-Harvey, LMFT, Mr. Vigorito co-developed a sexual health assessment and treatment protocol, published in Treating Out of Control Sexual Behavior - Rethinking Sex Addiction (recipient of the SSTAR 2018 Health Professional Book Award).
Mr. Vigorito has designed and implemented several SAMHSA- and CDC-funded training initiatives focused on integrating sexual health services into behavioral health care. These programs provided training and technical assistance in conducting routine sexual health conversations, offering sexual risk-reduction counseling, and delivering LGBTQ+ affirming care within behavioral health systems.
In his most recent role with the University of Maryland Prevention Research Center, he led the implementation of the Sexual and Gender Diversity Learning Community—a CDC-funded, LGBTQ+ affirmative care training program for mental health providers and organizations, co-developed with Sean Lare, LCSW-C.
In addition to his work with federal initiatives, Mr. Vigorito offers both local and national workshops for behavioral health professionals on a range of sexual health topics, including the assessment and treatment of out-of-control sexual behavior (OCSB), sexuality and gender diversity, and integrating sexual health into clinical practice.

Mr. Straley is a psychotherapist, sex therapist, group therapist, and trainer. In his clinical work, he provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for a wide range of sexual and behavioral health concerns, including relationship distress and disconnection, sexual dissatisfaction, erotic and identity conflicts, out-of-control sexual behavior (OCSB), and sex-related substance use.
With over two decades of experience, Mr. Straley brings a psychodynamic and relational orientation to therapy, integrating attachment theory, object relations, and self psychology. Mr. Straley has extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ communities, with particular expertise serving gay men and transgender men. He offers affirming, culturally responsive care for concerns related to identity development, dating and intimacy, sexual functioning, open relationship agreements, and the impact of stigma, shame, and minority stress on connection and desire.
